Your story sounds fascinating, I love thrifting now. So much more fun and cheap! Hi Peggy, yes go ahead and borrow my goals :)

May I borrow them? I am so curious about steampunk. I'm writing a historical romance set in England around the year 1840. The hero loves machines and the general coolness of the Industrial Revolution. Congratulations on your thrifty new year party dress, too. I followed a great blog this year called something like, "new dress a day", written by a woman who buys thrift and remakes. Congratulations on your goals. May I borrow them? Now at 27 i still walk with a limp but with no pain and im terrified of seeking professional help for fear of what they are going to say and not to mention the part abt having early arthritis. At this point in life i have battled rejection and self esteem issues and im still learning to cope with that.. Im pretty sure there's more to come.. I've just recently learn the medical term for it too--Hip Dysplasia (nvr crossed my mind to google it before!!) Im really encouraged by the post on here.. I have been going for walks and the occasional attempt at running. I'd like to know if there is anyone out there dealing with the same issues, its hard to find people to talk to when they don't know what you're facing everyday. Im glad to know that your little cousin recovered and i hope all is going well for her =) My mother realized i have a dislocated hip joint when i was abt 2 weeks old but even after going through numerous operations didnt help with my condition that time. I had always had an active life and never had any problems with pain until my mid fifties when I began having so much pain I could not walk. My MD would like to put off the replacement surgery until my 60's I am now 59. I have only had one hip injection which helped so much with the pain that I was able to contiune working out. I discovered Pilates about 4 years ago and attribute that form of exersise to not only keeping fit but keeps me active and for the most part pain free. I discovered that I needed to work on strengthing and stretching the legs and hips which Pilates does so well. Before I had been running and biking and swimming 3 times aweek and the running was just to much for my hips. I also weight trained but I have found Pilates to be the best for me with this condition. I am trying to avoid hip replacements at any age so I will just try to keep fit and see what happens. Good luck to you all. July 15, 2011

I do love my oatmeal but you can always try something different. Sometimes I have a whole wheat muffin with peanut butter just to change things around. Congrats on a good day one! Hi Phyllis :)

I managed to stay on track for Day 1, but the oatmeal is going to take some getting used too. Workoutwise, I usually stick with cardio, but today I incorporated light weights.
